FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What type of pest management program does Alchemy Pest Control provide?
A: Alchemy Pest Control provides pet and child friendly preventive services for both household and landscape pest control.
Q: Why does Alchemy need to treat on the inside of the home?

A: Alchemy prefers to have access to the inside of the home for the first visit. This enables us to inspect key areas such as under sinks, in attics, along windows, and in garages.

Q: Do I need to be home for the treatment?

A: We prefer homeowners to be home for the first treatment so we can inspect key areas inside the home. After the first treatment you do not need to be home. Our preventive barrier is designed to keep pests out of your home without using chemicals inside your home.

Q: Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?

A: Our treatments are pet and child friendly. They are labled by the Environmental Protection Agency for use in dog kennels, day cares, and hospitals. We do ask that people and pets wait to touch treated areas until dry.

Q: What if my back yard is gated and I have a dog?

A: When the backyard is inaccessible because of a dog or gate your technician will apply pet friendly scatter baits over the gate at each side of the home. However, we will need access to the backyard to treat any wasp nests or remove cobwebs.

Q: How long should I wait to touch treated areas?

A: You should wait to touch treated areas until dry.

Q: Does the rain affect my treatment?

A: Alchemy's treatment is water resistant. In fact, it is the sunlight that breaks down the treatment over a 60 day period.

Q: How long does the treatment last?

A: The treatment gradually breaks down over a 60 day period.

Q: How soon does the treatment begin to work?

A: Some of our treatments begin to work immediatly and others take 7 to 10 days to begin to take effect. After the first treatment you should expect to see 70% less bugs than if you were not being treated. After the second treatment you will see about 80% less pests. After the third, about 90% less. You should expect effectiveness to peak at about 90% and be willing to tolerate an occasional invader.
